A) Root Canal Treatment:

Root Canal Ttherapy refers to the process by which a dentist treats the inner aspects of a tooth, specifically that area inside a tooth that is occupied by its "pulp tissue." Most people would probably refer to a tooth's pulp tissue as its "nerve." While a tooth's pulp tissue does contain nerve fibers it is also composed of arteries, veins, lymph vessels, and connective tissue.

For the purposes of this discussion, so to use terminology that people seem to be most familiar with, we will use the terms "nerve" and "nerve tissue" to refer to a tooth's pulp tissue.

The Root Canal Therapy is generally done to improve the health of your damaged tooth. During the treatment, the pulp is removed from your root canals through a small opening in the crown. Then the canals are cleaned and disinfected. The adjoining diagram shows an instrument being used to clean the canal.

Treatment may take one or more visits. The tooth is first numbed. An opening is made in your tooth and any existing fillings or decay is removed. Then the unhealthy pulp with tiny, flexible files is removed. Using delicate, up-and-down motions, your dentist gently cleans and smooths your canals to disinfect them and prepares them for filling.

The canals are then sealed with an inert material that occupies the space vacated by the removal of the pulp.

After the inside of your tooth has been treated, the outside will be restored to protect your tooth's underlying structures and to bring the tooth back into function. Your dentist will usually cover the tooth with a ceramic or metal crown. After root canal therapy, your tooth continues to be nourished by the surrounding gums and bone.

B) Dental Implants:
A dental implant replaces the root of a missing tooth and is made from surgical-grade titanium alloy to exacting specifications. Initially, the implant is placed into the jawbone either immediately after the loss of a tooth, or after an extended period of time. If there is insufficient bone, various bone enhancing procedures can be performed prior to the implant placement. Implants are great for replacing missing teeth. It is important that you have enough bone in the area of the missing teeth for the implants to be attached to. Implants are increasingly being used to replace certain types of bridges and removable partial dentures. Dental Implants enable you to eat your favorite foods, increase your chewing ability, and improve your appearance, speech, and self-esteem.

Tooth Replacement
As the teeth crowd together or shift, plaque builds up more easily, leading to decay and gum disease. When the teeth do not mest chewing can be impaired. This causes stress on the jaw and other teeth. In such conditions the dentist suggests you for a replacement for the decayed tooth.

Posterior Tooth Replacement
The Tooth Replacement maintains integrity of facial structure (prevents further bone deterioration), Increases comfort and stability, Restores natural biting strength & most importantly Improves appearance.

C) Dentures:
They are another great option to increase the width of your smile. Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that can be taken out and put back into your mouth. While dentures take some getting used to, and will never feel exactly the same as one's natural teeth, today's dentures are natural looking and more comfortable than ever.

There are two main types of dentures: Complete & Partial. We will help you to choose the type of denture that's best for you based on whether some or all of your teeth are going to be replaced.

Partial Dentures:
An important step in maintaining a healthy smile is to replace missing teeth. When teeth are missing, the remaining ones can change position, drifting into the surrounding space. Teeth that are out of position can damage tissues in the mouth. In addition, it may be difficult to clean thoroughly between crooked teeth. As a result, you run the risk of tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease, which can lead to the loss of additional teeth.

A removable partial denture fills in the space created by missing teeth and fills out your smile. A denture helps you to properly chew food, a difficult task when you are missing teeth. In addition, a denture may improve speech and prevent a sagging face by providing support for lips and cheeks.

Complete Dentures:
Complete dentures cover the entire jaw, either upper or lower. Complete dentures rest directly on the gum that covers the bone. However, a type of full denture, called an over denture, fits over a few remaining teeth that have been shaped by your dentist.
